Hola Sara – Iker’s lady puts the Premiership WAGS into the shade

Continuing our look into the foreign wags that put the Premier League ones to shame…

Last week we featured the potential future Mrs Madrid (see what Lara Alvarez has to offer here), so we thought it would only be fair to take a look at the current holder of that title: Sara Carbonero.

Sara Carbonero is a Spanish TV presenter whose fame in mainland Europe has been increased by dating Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas. The 26-year-old hit the headlines during the World Cup in South Africa in 2012 when some sections of the football media and many Spaniards blamed Sara for distracting Iker when Spain lost to Switzerland in their opening encounter.

This is of course ridiculous, but it isn’t hard to see why the Spanish goalkeeper would be distracted by The Sexiest Reporter in the World as decided by FHM USA in 1999.
